Christmas can be very stressfull and for some reason it seems to creep up on us every year and every year i say i will be more organised next year but it never happens. I think when the kids were small I had to be organised, get the presents bought before they broke up from school so i didnt have to trail them round the shops with me. Now most of it is done on the internet anyway. Im not sure about you but this year i really dont feel the Christmas spirit at all and actually cant be bothered, then i feel guilty that im not making an effort and being bah humbug but i still cant help it. Im hoping a bit of down time will be good but then there is the stress of everyone being together for longer periods than normal, as much as i love them all it can still hard. I think we put too much pressure on ourselves to have the "perfect Christmas" instead of just relaxing and enjoying some time off. If you start to feel overwhelmed then make sure you take some time out, tell everyone that you need some space and go for a walk, take a bath, light a candle and shut yourself in a room somewhere for a bit to meditate or read or even just have a power nap. Dont feel bad for doing it we all need some time out, we also need to look at changing our mindset, for example instead of thinking "i am so disorganised" think "I have the ability to create order and efficiency in my life". This is definitely something i need to do as i have a tendancey to put myself down which results in not much changing. As it happened i wasnt as disorganised as i thought i was and apart from food shop, im now just about done, which is probably just as well seeing as Chrismas day is less than a week away. In reality i think alot of us feel the same way so dont feel you are the only one that cant be arsed this year. We will all get though Chrismas in our own way, we will enjoy some bits, find other bits stressfull, eat too much, drink too much, swear that we will do it better next year but thats all part of it so dont let it get on top of you. Relax, enjoy what you can and make sure you take time out for yourself to recharge those batteries ready for another New Year.

Have a very Merry Chrismas however you do it. Much Love Jo x
